    Another stab at Macro Pics

    Had another go at this macro photography lark. Not much better but its fun trying. Tried your suggestion John of bark but couldn't find much close to the house as it is too wet & cold today to venture far from home. Also no dragonflies or other creatures around the pond today for the same reason.

    elements of design and lightening play a big role in composition and it comes from practice and learning how to read the light also how to abstract the composition. Cropping is also critical. I like them.

    Another great effort Sue. I love the 2 floral shots. Unlike you, we have a garden of greenery, nothing pretty in it. I did empty some large pots that had Golden Canes in them with the intention of putting some colourful plants to attract the insects but I can't decide what to put in them.
